About Marvin the Martian
Marvin the Martian is an extraterrestrial character created
by Chuck Jones that stars in Looney Tunes animated cartoon
series created by Warner Bros. Marvin was originally called
Commander X-2 and was voiced by Mel Blanc. Marvin is from
the planet Mars and his space dog companion is called Commander
K-9. He wears a Roman solider's uniform and carries a small
pistol in his battle for space territory in the universe.
Marvin has planned and tried to blow up and destroy the
Earth on several occasions with his Illudium Q-36 Explosive
Space Modulator because it blocks his view of Venus, but
is outwitted by Bugs Bunny or Daffy Duck.
Marvin is well known for his quotes 'Greetings Earthlings'
and 'Where is the kaboom? There was supposed to be an earth-shattering
kaboom!' and has made appearances in many television series
cartoons and movies including 'Haredevil Hare', 'The Hasty
Hare', 'Duck Dodgers in the 24½th Century', 'Hare-Way to
the Stars', 'Mad as a Mars Hare', 'Spaced Out Bunny', 'The
Bugs Bunny and Tweety Show', 'Marvin the Martian in the
Third Dimension', 'Space Jam', 'Looney Tunes: Back in Action'
and 'Bah Humduck!: A Looney Tunes Christmas'.
