About Care Bears
The Care Bears were characters created to appear on greeting cards by American Greetings. Each Care Bear is a plush teddy bear and is a different color with a special symbol on their belly to represent their name.
The original bears and cousins live in the Kingdom of Caring with the original bears living in Care-a-lot and the cousins living in the Forest of Feelings. The original bears include Birthday Bear, Tenderheart Bear, Wish Bear, Love-a-lot Bear, Bedtime Bear, Good Luck Bear, Grumpy Bear, Funshine Bear, Friend Bear and Cheer Bear. Other bears have included Share Bear, Oopsy Bear, Thanks-a-lot Bear, True Heart Bear, Daydream Bear, Laugh-a-lot Bear, Harmony Bear, Take Care Bear and many more cousins and friends from the Care-a-lot family.
The cute and cuddly bears have appeared in cartoons and
television series including 'Care Bears: Adventures in Care-a-Lot'
and in three feature films, 'The Care Bears Movie', 'Care
Bears Movie II: A New Generation' and 'The Care Bears Adventure
in Wonderland'. They have also featured in the animated
movies 'Journey to Joke-a-lot' and 'Big Wish Movie', 'The
Care Bears Nutcracker Suite' and 'Care Bears: Oopsy Does
It!'. The bears have also featured in a series of children's
books, music albums, video games, comic books and their
own stage show, Care Bears live.
