Toy Story Characters

Toy Story is a computer animated feature film directed by John Lasseter and was released in 1995 by Walt Disney Pictures and produced by Pixar Animation Studios and soon became a blockbuster movie. The film is based centrally on characters that are toys residing in six year old Andy’s bedroom and our Toy Story character list and pictures that follow show all the major and minor characters in Toy Story throughout the movie.

Andy plays with his toys and his favorite toy is Woody the cowboy doll. Whenever Andy leaves the room all the toys come to life and it is on Andy’s birthday that he receives a new toy called Buzz Lightyear. When Andy comes running into his room with Buzz all the other toys have returned to their places and when Andy leaves the room Buzz Lightyear announces to all the toys that he is on a peaceful mission and that he is an intergalactic space ranger and is on a mission to save everyone from evil. Woody soon becomes jealous of Buzz and the story develops into an adventure for the toys in Andy’s room.

Toy Story features the voices of Tim Allen and Tom Hanks that play Buzz Lightyear and Woody respectively. The film received many awards including an Academy Award for Academy Special Achievement awarded to John Lasseter for techniques in developing the first feature length computer animated film.
