Belle is a true beauty and is an official Disney Princess. She first appeared in the Walt Disney animated feature film ‘Beauty and the Beast’, which premiered on November 13 in 1991.

Just like so many of the Disney fairy tales that we’ve grown up with, the Disney story of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ was originally based on the traditional fairy tale that was also titled ‘Beauty and the Beast’ by the French author Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve. The story was later abridged and republished by French author Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont. The tale of Beauty and the Beast is about a beautiful woman that is kept in an enchanted castle by a monstrous beast.

Disney’s film version of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ was up until that time, the first and only animated feature film to ever be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture. The film received Academy Awards for Best Music for Original Score and Best Music for Original Song for the song ‘Beauty and the Beast’ featured during the famous ballroom dance sequence between Belle and the Beast.

‘Beauty and the Beast’ is one of the best known animated Disney films and its overwhelming success has seen the adaption made into a long running stage musical. The film has also sparked appearances in other media adaption’s where Belle features in storybooks, comic books, video games, the popular ‘Disney on Ice’ shows. A series of direct to video releases featuring Belle have included ‘Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas’ and ‘Belle’s Magical World’.

Belle is truely a beautiful Disney Princess. She is sweet natured and intelligent and loves to read books. She has long brown hair and beautiful brown eyes. Belle is most commonly recognised wearing a sparkly yellow ballroom gown and often is shown holding the rose that is the symbolism of love throughout the movie. Today Belle remains one of the favorite Disney Princesses of little girls.

Like so many of the Disney animated fairy tales, Walt Disney’s ‘The Little Mermaid’ story was based on the original story by Hans Christian Andersen also titled ‘The Little Mermaid’. Hans Christian Andersen was a Danish author and poet and was well known for his children’s stories. His works included many familiar fairy tales that include ‘The Princess and the Pea’, ‘The Ugly Duckling’, ‘Thumbelina’, ‘The Little Match Girl’, ‘The Snow Queen’, ‘The Emperor’s New Clothes’ (that of which Disney has also based their animated film ‘The Emperor’s New Groove’) and many more well known children’s fables and fairy tales.

Ariel, just like the other Disney Princesses, has her own style and visual characteristics. Ariel is a mermaid and has lovely long red hair, beautiful blue eyes, a green tail and she wears a purple bikini of sea shells that form her bikini top.

Ariel has made several appearances in Disney film, in addition to her ‘The Little Mermaid’ debut. In 2000, she appeared in a prequel to ‘The Little Mermaid’ film that was titled ‘The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea’. In recent times Ariel appeared in the prequel ‘The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Beginning’, released in 2008. Both prequel films were released directly to video all feature Jodi Benson as Ariel’s singing and speaking voice.

‘The Little Mermaid’ and Ariel have also featured in a television prequel series, as well as a stage musical performance. She has also featured on many other entertainment mediums that have included video games and music albums. Ariel remains a Disney Princess that is adored by young girls and one of our favorite Disney characters.

Snow White was the first of the official Disney Princess, when she appeared in Walt Disney’s animated fairytale, ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’. The movie premiered on December 21 in 1937 and was the first animated feature film in history.

Just like so many of Walt Disney’s animated feature films, the story of ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ was based on the original fairytale authored by the Brothers Grimm, known as ‘Snow White’ which formed part of their collection of fairytales. The Brothers Grimm consisted of Wilhelm and Jacob Grimm, who were German academics and well know for their popular fairytales. The Brothers Grimm works consisted of ‘Cinderella’, ‘Rapunzel’, ‘Sleeping Beauty’, ‘Little Red Riding Hood’, ‘Hansel and Gretel’, ‘The Frog Prince’ and ‘Rumpelstiltskin’.

Disney’s Snow White, like all of the Disney Princesses, has a distinctive visual elements and characteristics in her personality. She has black hair, shaped into a small bob cut and wears a red bow in her hair on the top of her head. Snow White wears a dress with a yellow skirt and a blue bodice that features splashes of red on the shoulders of the dress, with a tall white collar around the back of her neck.

The Snow White story and her appearance in Disney’s ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ is centrally based around her wicked stepmother, the Evil Queen that is overcome with jealousy of her stepdaughter. When asking the Magic Mirror ‘who is the fairest one of all?’ and it replies ‘Snow White’, the Evil Queen orders Snow White to be killed. Upon fleeing from the Evil Queen’s attempt to kill her, Snow White runs into the forest and finds some animal friends. She comes upon a cottage and befriends seven dwarfs each named Doc, Grumpy, Sleepy, Happy, Dopey, Sneezy and Bashful. The voice of Snow White throughout the Disney film is performed by Adriana Caselotti.

Being the first Disney Princess, Snow White continues to be one of the most loved and sweetest Disney Princesses and will always have a special place in storytelling and animation history.

In JJ’s yard, Trix tells JJ that Skip has gone to the dump with Molly. JJ asks Trix to take a bag of wood chippings to Bob, because he’s building a climbing frame in the school playground.

Trix arrives and gives the wood chippings to Bob. Bob explains that he’s going to put them under the climbing frame so that if a child takes a tumble, they’ll have something soft to land on. Muck and Trix leave to go to Farmer Pickles to pick up the poles for the climbing frame.

Farmer Pickles is loading pumpkins into Travis’s trailer when Trix and Muck arrive. He explains that he’s going to take the pumpkins to the market and sell them. Trix asks about two pumpkins sitting in a wheelbarrow and Farmer Pickles says that one is for a suprise and the other is for a pumpkin pie at the Harvest Supper tonight that Mrs Percival is going to make in Mr Sabatini’s pizza shop. Trix offers to take the pumpkin to the Mr Sabatini’s pizza parlour for Farmer Pickles.

Muck and Trix deliver the poles to Bob and tells Bob and Wendy about the pumpkin pie and how she has to deliver it to Mrs Percival. Trix tells Bob that she’ll come back to help him when it’s been delivered.

At Mr Sabatini’s pizza parlour, Trix delivers the pumpkin to Mrs Percival and Mr Sabatini. Mr Sabatini asks Trix to stay and watch them make the biggest pie, but Trix has too much work to do and can’t stay.

Trix arrives back to Bob’s worksite and Bob asks her to help Muck move the wooden poles. Bob, Wendy, Dizzy, Trix, Muck and Lofty work on the climbing frame. Bob thinks they need another bag of wood chippings, so Trix offers to go and get another bag.

On her way, she sees Mrs Percival and Mr Sabatini and their finished pumpkin pie. The pie is so big that they don’t know how to get it up to Farmer Pickles, but Trix offers to take it for them. On the way to Farmer Pickles, Trix remembers that she’s forgotten to get the bag of wood chippings. She runs into Spud, who offers to look after the pie while Trix goes to get the wood chippings.

Meanwhile at the work site, Bob and crew are waiting for Trix to bring the bag of wood chippings. Mrs Percival arrives and tells Bob and Wendy that the climbing frame is wonderful and that Trix has taken the pie up to the farm. Bob and Wendy are suprised and Wendy leaves with Lofty to go and get the wood chippings.

Wendy arrives at JJ’s and Trix turns up too to pick up the wood chippings. She tells JJ and Wendy that Spud is looking after the pie and they immediately become worried. JJ says that he’ll take the bag of wood chippings to Bob and Wendy and Trix will go to get the pumpkin pie off Spud.

JJ delivers the wood chippings to Bob and tells him that Wendy and Trix have gone to the pumpkin pie. When Wendy and Trix arrive, Spud is shooing away birds from the pie. Wendy calls Bob to tell him that Spud has the pumpkin pie and it’s all in one piece.

Bob and crew arrive at Farmer Pickles farm and Farmer Pickles shows the suprise pumpkin lantern for the Harvest Supper to everyone. Mrs Percival cuts up the pumpkin pie and offers the first piece to Spud, who looked after the pie.

Characters in Trix’s Pumpkin Pie (in order of appearance):

Wendy tells Bob that JJ has just phoned and the wooden beam for Mr Ellis’ ceiling has arrived. Bob replies that he’ll pick it up on the way to Mr Ellis’ cottage. Bob explains that he has to replace a rotten wooden beam for Mr Ellis. Bob, Muck, Lofty and Dizzy leave for Mr Ellis job and Pilchard sneaks into Muck’s dumper.

At JJ’s, Bob discovers that the beam is a different colour to Mr Ellis’ other wooden beams, but JJ suggests they treat it with some antique wax. Lofty takes the beam and Trix goes to put the trestles in Muck’s dumper and finds Pilchard. Bob now has to drop Pilchard back at the yard on the way to Mr Ellis’ as cat’s aren’t allowed on building sites.

Bob stops by the yard and drops off Pilchard, but she follows them off to Mr Ellis’.

Mr Ellis’ is observing the beam and Bob explains that he has to cut the beam and make it the same colour as the other wooden beams in his ceiling.

Suddenly Pilchard arrives and hides beside the cottage, watching some mice scurry over to Bob’s work site. Mr Ellis brings some tea and biscuits to Bob. Bob eats one of the biscuits and keeps the other one for a treat, leaving it on the floor, but the mice start to eat it. Pilchard, seeing this chases them away, but suprises Bob just as he is about to begin cutting the beam. Bob explains that it’s too dangerous for Pilchard to play on building sites and puts her in the house.

Bob finishes cutting the beam and decides to eat his other biscuit, but finds that it’s gone – the mice have taken it. Mr Ellis tells Bob that he’s had alot of biscuits go missing.

Unaware to Bob and Mr Ellis, the mice go into Mr Ellis’ house and Pilchard starts making a lot of noise. Bob phones Wendy to come over right away.

Bob begins working inside and puts Pilchard outside, so she doesn’t cause an accident. Wendy and Scoop arrive. Bob finds his biscuit on the floor in the house and wonders how it ended up inside. When Wendy comes inside, Pilchard gets inside and chases the mice outside into Muck’s scoop. Bob and Mr Ellis finally realise why Pilchard has been acting so strange and who’s been eating the biscuits.

Wendy and Bob continue working on Mr Ellis’ ceiling. The job is complete and Mr Ellis is pleased. Bob suggests that they now need to find a place for the field mice and Muck suggests a field, so Bob asks Muck to take them to Farmer Pickles field. Pilchard is sad that the mice are gone and there is nothing to play with, but Mr Ellis gives Pilchard a wind up mouse to play with instead.

Wendy, Pilchard, Bob, Scoop, Lofty, Dizzy, Muck, Roley, JJ, Trix, Mr Ellis

Bob arrives with the airconditioning unit and tells Lofty that it’s ready for Mr Sabatini. Wendy is sanding shelves for Mrs Percival.

Molly is painting and Wendy announces that Molly is painting a picture of Lofty too. Lofty asks to see it, but Molly says as soon as she’s finished painting the shelves. Lofty attempts to paint, but finds out that he can’t hold the brush and it’s very difficult.

Bob calls Lofty to lift the air conditioning unit. Bob tells them all how the air conditoning unit works and tells them after they do the job for Mr Sabatini, they will get the wallpaper and finish the library in the junior school.

Bob, Dizzy, Muck and Lofty arrive at Mr Sabatini’s reastaurant to install the air coniditioning unit. Bob installs the unit with Lofty’s help and the job is complete and the restaurant is now nice and cool. Mr Sabatini thinks that he’ll now redecorate his restaurant and Lofty suggests he uses the colors of the peppers, yellow and green. Mr Sabatini and Bob think that Lofty is great with color, but he’s too big to get into the restaurant and help paint.

Bob gets a call from Wendy and Bob instructs Lofty to go to JJ’s to get the wallpaper so they can start the library.

At JJ’s, JJ and Skip leave to go on a delivery when Lofty arrives. Trix and Hamish are in the yard and Trix sees that Lofty is unhappy and asks why, to which he replies that he would like to be an artist, but it’s so difficult. Trix tells him that they can tidy up the yard, which will be fun. Lofty is stacking paint and Trix tells him that he’s very artistic.

Mrs Percival sees the furniture that Molly and Wendy have been working on and loves it.

Back at JJ’s Trix has stacked the supplies really high and just as Mr Dixon arrives with the wallpaper the supplies tumble to the ground, tipping over the paint and supplies and Lofty picks up Mr Dixon, saving him.

Bob, Muck and Dizzy arrive at JJ’s and see the mess and Mr Dixon tells them that Lofty saved him, but in the process has squashed the wallpaper. Bob tells him it was just an accident, but Lofty says that he’s big and clumsy and will never be an artist. Bob instructs Muck and Dizzy to go back to the yard and he’ll stay and help tidy up before JJ gets back.

JJ arrives and helps tidy up too. Lofty asks JJ if there is anymore wallpaper, but JJ replies that there is only plain wallpaper and Mrs Percival wanted really bright colors for the library.

Lofty has an idea and pours some paint out onto the ground. Driving through it, he drives onto the wallpaper and paints it. With the help of Trix, they paint the wallpaper.

The wallpaper dries and they take it to the library and start installing it and all the furniture. Mrs Percival thinks the wallpaper looks marvelous and they all go to tell Lofty how clever his idea was. Molly shows Lofty the painting she made of him and tells him that it’s called Lofty the artist.

Characters in Lofty the Artist (in order of appearance):
Dizzy, Bob, Muck, Roley, Scoop, Lofty, Wendy, Mr Sabatini, JJ, Skip, Trix, Hamish, Mrs Percival, Mr Dixon
